Overview

Saad has extensive experience advising local and foreign companies on a variety of corporate matters and commercial disputes, local and international arbitration, alternative dispute resolution and real estate litigation.

Saad has worked with various international law firms over the years and was also involved in the establishment of the Saudi Centre for Commercial Arbitration.

Experience

• Advising high profile organisations on their legal issues pertaining to commercial and labour disputes before the Saudi Arabian courts
• Advising on the establishment of joint ventures in Saudi Arabia involving major foreign companies including preparation of the shareholders agreement and Articles of Association
• Advising on the formation of limited liability and branch companies in Saudi Arabia in a variety of sectors including professional services and manufacturing
• Assisting with the due diligence review of a number of major companies in Saudi Arabia
• Advising companies on matters relating to Wage Protection System and Internal Work Regulation
• Advising on the liquidation process for a variety of legal entities in Saudi Arabia
• Advising on litigious matters including the preparation and filing of legal briefs and opinions; attending the full range of courts in Saudi Arabia (pleading, pre-trial, appeal, and enforcement) and negotiating settlements of civil disputes
• Drafting Arbitration and Mediation Rules in Arabic and English for the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (“SCCA”) and drafting SCCA Code of Conducts for Arbitrators, Mediators, Parties and their Representatives
• Drafting the SCCA Guide to Drafting ADR Clauses and SCCA Arbitration Procedures Guide
• Evaluating findings and developing strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases; and presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation
